The MTA says the subway will run on a Sunday schedule on Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 7. Bus and commuter rail riders should also expect changes over the three-day weekend, according to the MTA's Labor Day advisory. If you plan to ride any of them during the long weekend, leave extra time and check the trip planner before you go.

Broadway season starts, and Brooklyn marks 9/11

The fall theater season opens this month. The lineup includes Lupita Nyong'o in Marin Ireland's “Pre-Existing Condition,” Jasmine Amy Rogers in “School Girls...” and a Tom Stoppard revival with David Greenspan, according to New York Theater's September calendar. At least one show uses a herd of life-size buffaloes.
