Not everyone comes for tennis. If you are in the city on September 26, head to Downtown Brooklyn, where the New York Transit Museum is throwing a 50th anniversary party in a decommissioned subway station. According to the Brooklyn Paper, the old Court Street station will be set up as a 1976 disco for one night, with dancing, drinks and vinyl-only tunes. It is a fundraiser, so treat it like a special event: buy in advance on the museum's official website, and do not expect regular museum admission.
